President George W. Bush signed proclamations establishing a World War II monument and commemorating the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

The World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument will include nine sites with the National Park Service as the general administrator. The proclamation also encourages flying the American flag at half staff Dec. 7 in honor of those who died as a result of service at Pearl Harbor.

The text of the President's proclamations are available on the White House website.
