Hi. I would appreciate your help to find some information about my uncle
who was a seargent in the Oxford and Bucks 6th Battallion in the far east, in Burma. His name was William Sutton and he was a prisoner of war
who did not return home, presumed dead. Would appreciate any help like where to look or start my search for more information about my uncle.
    Thanks. luckybarry

    Hi Barry,

Hopefully you might be lucky, here is a link to a search engine for Far East POW's, there are 7 possibilities on there, but only one with a Oxford and Bucks. service number. William Herbert.

Let us know if one of these is possibly your Uncle.

Here are all the W. Sutton's who died in WW2 as listed on the Commonwealth Graves website:

    CWGC - Find War Dead

William Herbert has a service number from the range given over to the Ox and Bucks, but he served in the Royal Artillery whilst in Singapore.
