Can anyone give me any details of sources of information about the RAF in India in and just after WWII? I have seen mention of a book 'Forgotten skies: The story of the Air forces in India and Burma' by Wilfred Russell but know nothing about its contents.

Thank you for the links. These are of interest to me although my main interest is in two particular topics:
1.RAF stations in India included the following at or near Bangalore: Yelahanka, Bangalore and Kolar at or near Madras: Arkonam, Madras, Tambaram, St Thomas Mount, Guindy, Red Hills Lake and Cholavaram. What were the functions of these bases and what units were stationed there.
    2. Which units/squadrons were allocated to the defence of Madras and surrounding area in the event of a Japanese attack in 1942 (which I believe did not materialise).
