SFHQ was a joint American British HQ housed in Montague Mansions London W1 - it controlled the activities of SOE/OSS and the SAS working with the resistance in occupied Europe. At HS8/442 is an A3 scrapbook containing selected signals and photographs showing the progress of SFHQ from 1944-1945. The fortresses were dropping to the Vercors plateau in daylight - undercarriages were lowered to slow airspeed.
