    Woolley was one of the heroes of Q Battery RA whose M10 SP Guns came to the rescue of 153 Field Regiment when their gun position was over run Panther tanks and infantry. He was the BSM and had been promoted from a No 1 after his actions in Op Epsom resulted in the award of the Military Medal - which was only notified after his death.
