Sorry to hear about the "sniffles".... no doubt the 8th May events will be significantly curtailed, if not cancelled... but hopefully you'll get your parade opportunity later in the year... if you're on a float, dressed as a lord, then I'll definitely be there to give you a wave....

    sincere best wishes

Seems that the mass neuroses mental infarction over the Kung Flu crapademic has seeped into the gray matter of the city council and mayor of Baton Rouge. Those ass clowns have cancelled the Wearin' O the Green Parade here in town. That's just going too dang far. Now what am I going to do with all those beads and green beer? Dang.

Wearin of the Green, St. Patrick's Day Parade

I had a trip planned for next month, but with the new travel restrictions now I'm not so sure. Anyways, we were supposed to fly into Lisbon, Portugal and rent bikes. Then on to Tarifa, Spain to catch a ferryboat down to Tangiers, Morocco. We'd tool around Morocco for awhile, then catch another ferryboat to Gibraltar. After seeing the sights there, we'd roll north into Spain then hook a louey left) and back to Lisbon to turn in the bikes. It would've been nice. We'll still go, but not in April when we planned.

Change the colour (or color for our US friends) and still have a parade, what the hell you only live once, and its a way to use up all that green beer

In 1967 Tetleys were considering producing a green coloured beer (with a mint flavour) as they thought it might appeal to the female consumer but when they floated the concept at Bradford University's Business School were told that it would be a wicked abomination that would bring down the wrath of the Yorkshire elder gods (compared with which H P Lovecraft's elder gods seem quite jolly fellows) upon them and wisely shelved the idea.

I had some green chili beer at a brew pub in Denver. It sounded disgusting but I tried it and it was really great

Well, I’m up with my dad right now. He is a cancer patient and I am very impressed by the treatment and services he is receiving at home now, in order to keep him away from entering hospital. Just met Megan the District Nurse!

    Ewwwww!

Seems that our parade is post-poned, not canceled altogether. No date has been set for when we will roll, but I hope it's soon before it gets too hot.

Just thought of a great e-business opportunity arising out of the current crisis. Forget about airbnb think airhermit. Anyone who has a property with a small cave or grotto on it, a big tall stone pillar, a small lake with an island or even just an alcove someone could be bricked up in could let it out on short lets to those who wish to combine self isolation with a quest for spirituality in this time of stress . Gone green and don't need the coal house anymore? Turn it into a hermit's cell - no need to redecorate if it's full of dirt and spiders with no light - all the better. That potting shed you don't use anymore - let it out for 7 or 14 day mini hermitages. 18th Century aristocrats used to pay hermits to live on their estates - now the hermits can pay you. Think of the spinoffs - dig to let etc. What a business opportunity This time next year you could be a millionaire - or dead.

Bernie Sanders just said that the US could lose as many people as our military lost in WWII.

thats very slack of the government just to lose that many people - why dont they fit them with trackers then they would know where they were and therefore wouldnt be lost - simples
