I have a Corona Cigar box and surprisingly enough there are 2 cigars still in the original wrappers. On the box it reads Buxton & Co High Class Cigar Manufacturers Army Mess Suppliers After that I think it reads - WOR'UR P.O. TRICHINOPOLY I believe that this is in Assam State. The box has a paper band showing India Tobacco Excise Revenue Eight Annas Would any one have an idea of the date of this period. I presume that it would have been supplied to Officers' Mess.
