I'm trying to put together a Battle of Britain tribute video which will also serve as part of my media production 'showreel.' It will include edited video, motion graphics, original music, sound design and 3D graphics. After completion it will go on the internet for all to see.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to pick up WW2 stock footage? I can't afford to pay anyone for it since it's a non-profit project, but there must be somewhere to get WW2 footage without paying extortionate amounts?

As a secondary consideration, since it's a non-profit (personal) project, I won't be breaking any laws if I cut a few shots from existing films, will I? With that in mind, can anyone think of any recent documentaries with relevant 1940/Battle of Britain footage that might be worth a look?

    Many thanks,

    Dan :)
