Bit about them here. History and Commanders of 115 Infantry Brigade [British Commonwealth] I looked up 1 Cheshire & found this. http://www.vickersmachinegun.org.uk/units-cheshire.htm and joined the British Liberation Army as a regular Infantry Battalion as part of the 115th Independent Infantry Brigade. It embarked for Operations in Holland in February 1945. I see 5th & 30th Royal Berks are listed as being in 115 Ind Inf Bde at one time or another. their War Diaries are for sale here. https://www.thewardrobe.org.uk/prodSections.php?sect_id=19
As well as the 5th & 30th Royal Berkshires, the 4th Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment and the 3rd Battalion Monmouthshire Regiment are also listed under the 115th Independent Infantry Brigade. The 1st Cheshires were in this Brigade, but changed places at some stage with the Monmouths in the 11th Armoured Division. This info is from Victory in the West, Vol 2 by L.F.Ellis
