    Pursuant to the Trustee Act, 1925.
    ALL persons having claims against the estate of John Arthur Lloyd late of Leaton Knolls Shrewsbury in the county of Salop and of Wellington Barracks London, S.W.1, a Lieutenant-Colonel in His Majesty's Grenadier Guards who was killed in action on or about the 29th day of May 1940 are required to send particulars thereof to the undersigned Solicitors within two months of the publication of this notice after which time the executors will distribute the estate having regard only to the claims of which notice has been received.—Dated the 12th day of July 1940.

    He first gets a mention in Ponsonby's in Vol II when he joins the 1st Bn in Sept 1917 as a Second Lieutenant.
    He is listed in October as being in The King's Company.
    March 1918 he is breifly OC of King's Company but only a Lieutenant.
    August 1918 he is Acting Adjutant of the 1st Bn.
    Still a Lieutenant.
    January 1919 he is picked to go to London to bring the First Battalion Colours out to Cologne with 2nd Lt MG Farquharson MC.
    He is in the list of officers awarded a MiD but no date.
