    Having just looked at the battalion war diary it looks like he drowned. Last seen boarding HMS Skipjack with his Batman and Driver.

    The Skipjack was attacked by German Dive-Bombers on the 1st June and sank with all all hands and around 250 soldiers that she had just picked up off the beaches at De Panne.
