Hi, I'm researching my Grandfathers army career with the 7th Battalion Machine Gunners of the Northumberland Fusiliers. I wondered if anyone had any specific details of their battle at Caen while attached to the 59th Staffordshire. He took shrapnel to the back during the fight.

I'm also interested in any information regarding the 121 Military Government Detachment.

    Thanks

Here is the section in the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers' regimental history by Barclay regarding the battalion's period of time in Normandy. 7RNF01.jpg 7RNF02.jpg 7RNF03.jpg 7RNF04.jpg 7RNF05.jpg 7RNF06.jpg
