Serendipity. Had some boxes out on Saturday last. Looking for a particular book in connection with the 80th anniversary of 6th June 1944 coming up. Found it. This book. Had visited Merville more than once, many many years since. Wanted to read through the pages again. So open it up and.........serendipity. I'd been looking for this one, on and off for the past couple of years, since Cee posted this in the thread here: Albert Richards' Story: War Artist on D-Day and beyond I'll get it scanned up at sometime for the Albert Richards thread (it'll make for better quality than photos), but meantime here's some photos from the catalogue. High time, and still time, for the IWM (if they haven't already) to work some of Albert Richards' art into their D-Day anniversary plans. I hope they can, and do. Always remember, never forget, Albert Richards, Official War Artist. Jim.
And in another previously searched box, courtesy John Weeks' "Airborne Equipment". Selection from same. And Cee, if I've put these up before do tell me. The memory part of my bonce needs all the help it can get Kind regards, always, Jim.

Great spot Cee. Are they the same screens used in World War One? If not the same, certainly of similar ilk. Kind regards, always, Jim.
