    Does someone know location and type of vehicle. I thin k region sout of Dunkerque near Poperinge and Ypres? Thanks.

    I don't know the location, but agree with Mike that they look to be Pioneers...which are 6x4 incidentally.

    Is it this scene viewed from the other direction ? If so then the "135" Arm of Service serial may give a clue. It indicates 52nd Heavy Regiment RA. I should try harder to learn of differences between French and Belgian telegraph and other street poles. The vernacular architecture seems to cross the border (not surprisingly).

    Interesting to see the three colour sign on the driver's door! Even more so to be able to match this with 52 Heavy Regiment.
