Can anyone tell me about this telephone

    I have a phone from 1940 called "Erka 18755" it is German.. Anyone know about it ?

    Looks like a standard Wehrmacht Field Telephone Model FF33 - Feldfernsprecher 33

    Also inofficially but commonly (quite humorously) called "Ackerschnacker" (Acker = ploughed field, schnacker = frisian slang for speaker but also blatherer)

    Yes the battery look almost new but i miss the handle for charging ...

    Cool thing to find,i have ww2 interest.. the farm i live on was ocupied by SS during the war but it was nothing here.. this was a neighbor farm... weird but cool

    Acker and our English acre come from the same root and schnack and chat also have a degree of commonality

    But it ia very much used,it has much wear on the handle and on the ear side,it has been used MUCH ... and banged hard back in to place,paint i worn off on those 3 places,the button in the middle is polished clean after fingers...

    You know what we say in Norwegian.. we call it TELEFON RØRET that meens PHONE PIPE.. (same ass water pipe) not that it matters but a fun fact..

    But acre is åker,and schnack is snakk.. But the we still just call it the pipe ..
    yes .. German and Norwegian is very much like actually,if you talk German very slow we can understend most of it.. English also is much similar but German is same words .. like N.S.D.A.P is in Norwegien is nasional sosialistisk tysk arbeider parti" just to use ass example..
