Interesting photo...man next to Scot-Brown is wearing Canadian wings so perhaps the caption is suspect......the only Brown on the 1st Para Btn roll for Arnhem is the Quartermaster.......anyone confirm he was the QM...... Leo Heaps was also Canadian but not sure if he was CANLOAN or not...... Paul, In answer to your question I think one of the KOSB officers is still alive.....perhaps Maurice K.....
AIRBORNE MEDIC "the only Brown on the 1st Para Btn roll for Arnhem is the Quartermaster.......anyone confirm he was the QM......". Yes he was Who was who, confirms it mate. Although having looked here is this the same Brown World War II unit histories & officers Brown, Thomas ? - A/RQMS ? Lt. QM 02.06.1943 [291226] (reld < 04.1946) 02.06.1943 commissioned, Parachute Regiment - Army Air Corps [emergency commission] (09.1944) Quartermaster, HQ Company, 1st Parachute Battalion (
Perhpas my question was badly worded...was this Scot-Brown the QM of 1st Btn??? Which is why I questioned myself as its Thomas Brown, both who was who and the link I pasted are this Brown. Also in Randy's link about the Canloan officers association, in post 4 there are no Browns listed serving in the 1st Airborne Divison.

Jim Taylor, taken September 2009, sadly his last visit to Oosterbeek, he died 5th January 2010, regards lofty
