does anyone know just how many MF 11 floatplanes attempted to fly to Helensburgh, or Scotland during the fall of Norway. I know of Lt Ravn in F-328 following the Heinkel 115. Also how many Heinkel He 8 floatplanes flew to Helensburgh from Denmark? I am researching the story of RAF Helensburgh. Robin Bird

It seems that a few MF 11 floatplanes made the Shetlands from Norway and then returned. However, others never made it, lost or shot down. Hans Andreas Bugge commanded the Helensburgh Group of Heinkels 115s but no MF 11s went to Helensburgh. Bugge was then was posted to Toronto to reform the Norwegian Air Force at 'Little Norway'. On its first anniversary, he went missing on a flight but was awarded posthumously the Air Force Cross and War Cross with Swords. Any details of MF 11 flight to the UK would be appreciated.
