Hi, I am also looking for information on another Great Uncle but I have next to no information on him. Jim (James) was born 27th January 1919. All I know that in 1940 he was in the Eighth Army in Tunisia but was in the West Kent regiment before that. I know he survived the war. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it. Thanks Krissi
Have you any more info at all? Any photos? Any snippets no matter how small can give us a clue. There were two West Kents battalions in Tunisia (1st & 6th) , see this thread. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/north-africa-med/5192-did-royal-west-kents-see-action-north-afric.html Then again he could have been posted to a completely different Regiment . If we had a bit more to go on we might be able to narrow it down a bit.
