My Grandfather was in hospital in Malta during ww2

He was admitted to hospital on 13 September 1943
source is given as - PII 58/43

and he was discharged to unit on 27 October 1943
    source -PII 25/43

this is all from his service records.

Is there any way of finding out what hospital he was in, or obtaining records of why he was there?

    many thanks

    Tony.

Not sure if it helps but some info on malta Hospitals here.

The main hospital, the 90th General, was at Imtarfa at the northern end, at one of the highest points on the island. They were a regular military hospital and had been there in peace time. They took the initial casualties. We formed the 45th General Hospital, a second line hospital, and were to take naval casualties and Maltese gunners.
