Hello, does anyone know what exactly the light gray metal boxes from Richmonds Warrington 1944 Chest B were used for? Maybe for a certain ammunition or for a certain material or was it just a normal transport box for different purposes? Was light gray intended for a specific component force or why light gray? Thank you in advance.

Interesting, as a civilian company they made gas stoves. Presumably their production was turned over to the war effort but what they made I wouldn't know.
The factory was right next to the Latchford locks on the Manchester Ship Canal.
