    Hey Everybody,

I'm Cas. I live in Belgium and I'm just starting out with doing historical research. The goal is to start writing small pieces.

What prompted me to start is an encounter I had with a Canadian family who were tracking their relatives (who fought in the NW-european theater). I've always been a history enthusiast, but their story gripped me like no other and it prompted me to go and start to do more active research.

One of their relatives was a Canloan officer (Canadians fighting in the British forces) fighting with the 2nd Devonshire regiment. Before this encounter I've never even heard of the Canloan scheme before, but I'd like to know more about those men, their experiences and stories. There are few books about this and the ones I did find are quite hard to get a hold of (or mightily expensive).

So, if anybody has any tips or information about the Canloans, or has a relative who was one. I'd love to hear about it!

    Thank you all!:D

I found this one as well! It really useful, I contacted the SWWEC if they had any contacts left of relatives, but they don't know much more then what they have on their website.
