Once a gunner, always a gunner

I know that women served as gunners in the Royal New Zealand Artillery. My question is double barrelled. (1) What was the largest calibre they ever fired; and, (2) where there ever any mixed gender (male-female) crews?

As to the first, our records show they handled 3.7-inch HAA rather adeptly.

Hi 26delta, welcome from another kiwi.
The members on this forum have a wealth of information and may be able to answer your questions - if not, try the Waiouru Army Museum (esp the Library) as they have a huge amount of info there.
    Cheers

I am aware that the Waioruru Army Museum library may have some of the information I'm seeking, but an 11 hour journey (5.5 hrs each way) to visit the library is difficult. Additionally, reports by others in the trust who have visited the library indicate a great lack of information regarding domestic operations.
