thanks to everyone who has helped answer my questions,as i said i did not know anything about my dads war service until i saw a picture album my sister found.The last picture i have posted is of a belt my dad kept, he said it was a pannier belt from his motorbike and as you can see it had memories for him.The ATS badge is from the bridesmaid at his wedding and the Manchesters badge is from his best man.He also had a cloth wyven badge (shoulder badge) which is not displayed.I hope to get his service record , the books i have been sent i will study ,and i am amazed already what he and others went through. i thought i knew my dad but i was wrong. thanks again keith
