Not finding much specific information on this casualty. The DVA nominal roll and the AWM ROH agree with the details as shown on his CWGC entry, with the added detail that he was killed in action. His personnel file as held by the NAA has not been digitised as yet. His unit's war diary is not digitised either at the AWM, they have so far done the infantry unit war diaries and those for HQ units. Hopefully the others will follow as the years progress. The best I can offer so far is that his unit, the 2/1st Field Regiment Royal Australian Artillery, was heavily involved in what is now known as the battle of the beachheads.
