Hello, forum, I'm doing some research for a family friend on their relative William Hawker who served in the Norwegian Campaign and was MiD. His service file is on the way but Is there anything 'out there' about a unit or action for him/them? Hawker had impressive service with the RA attesting in March 1914 and finally retiring in 1956.
I've just checked the archives to see if they hold his MID and it's not listed. They are quite rare to find to be fair. Search results: wo 373 hawker | The National Archives

Normally regimental diaries for Norway are filed under WO 168 series. 84 HAA Regt are filed under WO 166 which suggests they were in the UK for the duration. You can never be 100% on anything without checking. WO 166/2375 84 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment Sep 1939-Dec 1941
