Thanks to Ramacal, I now have all the photos from Bayeux War Memorial. I now only require photos from the War Cemetery. If there is anyone who will be visiting Bayeux War Cemetery who is willing to take a few photos for me I would be very grateful. Unless someone has already been and photographed all the headstones and would be happy to send me the requested photos. The names are as follows: Driver James Robert Taylor I. C. 2. Private Walter Wilson I. F. 16. Lieutenant Colonel Robert Stanfield Bamber VIII. A. 26. Marine BERNARD WILLIAM NORTON XIV. L. 1. Flight Officer Ronald Frederick Wilcock XV. E. 22. Fusilier RONALD LESLIE HONEY XV. K. 17. Private HARRY BALMFORTH XVIII. C. 24. Sergeant Ralph Cowham XVIII. F. 9. Sergeant William Thomas Fitzjohn XIX. F. 15. Lance Corporal Theodore William Stokes XX. F. 26. Warrant Officer II Ralph Balding XXIII. C. 17.
Did you check the site's search engine, as I photographed and posted the panels of the Bayeux Memorial in June 2011. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/war-cemeteries-war-memorial-research/36895-bayeux-memorial-panels.html If any of the men in Bayeux War Cemetery are Royal Artillery, I have done all bar a few. I have also done a few others, mainly DLI, Footguards and the Lincolns (4th Bn).
are you still after photos from Bayeux? I am going out there at the end of September if thats any help mykid
Did you check the site's search engine, as I photographed and posted the panels of the Bayeux Memorial in June 2011. Yes I did, but oddly it never brought up your page of photographs. I always check using the search engine first as obviously it saves a lot of time and energy, but yours never appeared But thanks for giving me the panel pics for the few on the memorial. One quick question.....how do you get such large photographs on your posts. All I can ever get is a tiny little photograph making them barely decipherable. Tony
Hi Tony, You probably upload them direct from your Computer to WW2TAlk. I put them onto Photobucket and copy the image from there. That's how they appear large. Will be checking to see if I have any more for you. Tried the search function myself typing Bayeux Memorial and it came up on page 3 of 4 items. Cheers - Rob
Don't worry Tony, it will get a lot harder, as those on WW2Talk that collect specific units or like you, specific areas can testify. Good luck with your future endeavours. Regards - Rob
