    Just uploaded the War Diary for 90th Royal Engineers who were part of 8th GHQ for Operation Overlord.
    Order of Battle re amble under the month of June might be of interest to some and some more bridges :)

    Still slowly going through the diaries for 89 and 90 Field Companies. I have solved most mysteries but one remains:

    What is Amacore?

    Two trailers carrying trackway stores of various kinds were each carrying 'one 26 foot Amacore 1 foot 6 inches diameter'.

    I am interested in 90th RE 1944 but cannot find the National Archives reference for the unit. Can you let me know this.
