Operation "Guy Fawkes" was being put into effect 1st November, to liberate the "Island". 5th Camerons were sent to concentration area at Loensche Hoek area of the Aftenwaterings canal. Guy Fawkes, not surprisingly was to start 4th/5th November. Loensche Hoek is not far from Waalwijk.

Danke , Philip und Richard. So if those lads were killed 16 & 18 October in that area that Richards says, who was operating there then. I can't find anything. (Op Colin didn't start until 23rd Oct.)
A guess, but could it have been the Yanks, 101st maybe. They were in that area for Market Garden and were fighting around that area from September to November.
