This is all I know about him:

Corporal, Co. C, 110 Infantry Division
In France, Germany, Central Europe, Rhineland 1943-1945
In the Battle of the Bulge
Captured in late December 1944 and sent to Stalag IV-B
Camp was lierated by Red Army on April 23rd, 1945

I was wondering if you could tell me anymore about it?:)

    Hi David, welcome to forum

Are you sure that it was 110th Division? I couldn't find anything about such division in the US Army. Maybe he was in 110th Infantry Regiment from 28th Infantry Division

    Sol,

Yeah, you're probably right. Sorry, I just copied and pasted exactly what my aunt sent me.

Could very well be the 110th Infantry Regiment (IR) of the 28th Iinfantry Division (ID). The 28th ID was south of the 106th ID, defending Clerveax and points south. They conducted a fairly good delaying action and paid dearly in lives for it.

    Look at this page
Battle of the Bulge: U.S. Army 28th Infantry Division's 110th Regimental Combat Team Upset the German Timetable ยป HistoryNet
Info on 110th IR starts on page 3

Charles MacDonald's book A Time for Trumpets talks extensively about the 28th ID's fight for survival in Dec 1944 in the Ardennes.

I'll look tonight and see what I can find.

    See this also:

History of the 110th Infantry (10th ... - Google Books

As you look for information on his unit, search for combinations of the following:

    28th Infantry Division
    110th Infantry Regiment
1st Battalion (C company was in the 1st Battalion of the 110th IR)

Also, research Hurtgen Forest. The 28th was bloodied badly in the Hurtgen and was sent south to the Ardennes to rest and rebuild. A few days later the Watch on the Rhine began and they were hammered hard again.
