According to the Volksbund, Karl was born on April 22nd 1928 in Hohenwarth . He held the rank of Grenadier. The card states that he served as a Panzer-pioneer. It says that on May 5th 1945, Karl drowned near Tittmonning in the Salzach river. He would have been 17 years old. It also looks like he’s wearing a panzer uniform in the photo but I could be wrong. Definitely an interesting card. I’m not sure what specific unit he served with, or how exactly he ended up drowning.

If anyone finds additional information on him, id be very appreciative of the info.

The Municipal administration of Hohenwart is charging for research according to efforts and time.
    Do you want to continue?
Is there a story about how you got hold of this card? It might help.
    Stefan.

OK, it seems that your request for more information was not important enough.

Hello, sorry for the late response. Been very busy lately traveling out of state.

And thank you for trying to find some info on the card. I purchased the card online from a militaria vender. Unfortunately it’s not in my budget currently to go forward with the research from The Municipal administration of Hohenwart, thank you for your time.
