I would so like to do this . Watched it last night as it's better than anything on 'proper' TV. A Finnish chap & his dog go to see the mountain where Santa Claus workshop is located. Korvatunturi - Wikipedia It is in the Finnish - Russian border zone though. I'm probably too old & unfit now but I can imagine my youngest son doing it one day.
I watched this the other and was quite intrigued by this place. There is even a bit of WW2 content Not a place where I would have liked to have lived but interesting!
For those of you that don't get the reference, may I present Gordon Lightfoot and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"
The song was filled with such great lyrics. This one is so haunting: And all that remains is the faces and the names Of the wives and the sons and the daughters
This completely crazy guy proved to me convincingly that being "too old" is not "too old" as long as you are only willing to pulverise yourself laughing at any time with DIY rocket vehicles
I found this channel the other day. Used to watch it back in the 70s with my Dad & brother , both RAF chaps. Get Some In. https://youtube.com/@getsomein5811?si=ctYUjpcKBkAZYlis
Cracking quality footage. Italy 1953. I blinked and seventy-one years went by. Kind regards, always, Jim.
Excellent. I learned from youtube that there was a small American company that purchased the same body from Vignale that Ferrari used for their 250 MM model shown in the opening shot of that film. Jay Leno restored one and it's breathtaking
They are out there Owen, and they are out there. Absolutely! Too much daylight, or darkness, or both Kind regards, always, Jim. P.S. Bruce will buy it just to wind the twins up.
One for you Adam? Made in '45 so possibly of WW2 vintage. Intricate stuff. Kind regards, always, Jim. P.S. Now where did I leave my lump hammer?
Went in and out of here many times in my youth in wooden boats and never once remember it being this rough. I think the problem is a lot of large boats going way to fast in a no wake zone. When I was a kid a 35 footer was huge and might have 300 hp. Looks like that's a dingy in there today
Interesting video, Telamiina 65 creates quite a stir. In fact, even though the mine weighs 10 kg, it contains only 9.5 kg of TNT, the shell and detonating system weigh the remaining 500 g. I don't know what effects the dark winter has, but here there is room to realize yourself in good and bad. And Finns are a bit stubborn. The introduction of the off-road truck reminds me of what our drivers said about the tractors of our unit, 4x4 Belarus, especially about its gearbox.
I've had bit of a thing recently of watching North Americans living/visiting in the UK. It's interesting to see my country viewed through others eyes. On the whole it's very favourable, thankfully.
