I'm sure I've used lathes and threading attachments like that, but can't put a name to them. Anybody recognise them? Interesting that she's getting a single continuous chip as if she were cutting the thread on the half-angle, but her compound slide's straight. Wonder if she's getting the same effect by splitting depth of cut by sine and cosine between compound and cross slides? Looks as if she's doing it with only flat steel inside calipers, and maybe that's a go/not go screw gauge on the partition behind her. What do you think the gun is? Some sites say it's a Bofors, but I think it could be a bit big for that - maybe a 6-pounder tank/antitank? That would fit the period. Regards, MikB
