Can anyone advise the function of an MI5 Department known as B.8.c, on whose behalf the prolific writer and translator of First world War aviation books Claud W(alter) Sykes may have operated. It seems to have been involved in investigating German refugees with left wing connections. Any info. about either the Department or the extremely shadowy Sykes would be most welcome
