YES. AFTER THE CAPITULATION OF ITALY I ATTEMPTED TO REACH ALLIED FORES THROUGH THE GERMAN LINES. I WAS RECAPTURED 2 DAYS LATER BY THE 1ST GERMAN PARACHUTE DIVISION IN THE AQUILLA AREA. MY COMPANION WAS CPL. BUTLER (2927900) AND HE WAS RECAPTURED WITH ME.

I HAD NO OPPORTUNITY FOR SABOTAGE
