When I was captured the enemy searched me in BELGRADE, ZEMUM, and took from me 600.00 American currency and 13 Gold sovereigns, when I reached [STALAG] 4A, I was stripped and they took 2000.00 American money, watch, lighter and other effects. I was hired by the British Government in CANADA, was sent to CAIRO, EGYPT, where I was enlisted and sent with British Officers to JUGO-SLAVIA.
